SickKids Moms VS: Hard Days
2020 was a tough year. Especially for moms taking care of a child that’s battling a serious illness in the middle of a pandemic. This film explores their strength and resilience by following their daily struggles using YouTube’s popular “Day-In-The-Life” Vlog format. Through ups, downs and everything in between, this is an unprecedented look at how moms find the strength to carry on even during the most unimaginable circumstances.
The Execution: In order to keep the film as authentic as possible we enlisted 10 SickKids Moms to help us write the story. We did this by interviewing each mom to better understand what they go through in a day. Then we took the most impactful snippets and formed it into a cohesive and emotional film played by one (real) family.
